Extension methods are defined as static methods but are called by using instance method syntax. Their first parameter specifies which type the method operates on, and the parameter is preceded by the this modifier. Extension methods are only in scope when you explicitly import the namespace into your source code with a using directive.

The following example shows an extension method defined for the System.String class. Note that it is defined inside a non-nested, non-generic static class:

I found the solution looking in another web.config example
This was my web.config:

I was missing the bindingConfiguration on the enpoint. Now this is my working webconfig:

Disable constraints in SQL Server tables

If you want to disable all constraints in the database just run this code: -- disable all constraints EXEC sp_msforeachtable "ALTER TABLE ? NOCHECK CONSTRAINT all" To switch them back on, run: (the print is optional of course and it is just listing the tables) -- enable all constraints exec sp_msforeachtable @command1="print '?'", @command2="ALTER TABLE ? WITH CHECK CHECK CONSTRAINT all" I find it useful when populating data from one database to another. It is much better approach than dropping constraints. As you mentioned it comes handy when dropping all the data in the database and repopulating it (say in test environment). If you are deleting all the data you may find this solution to be helpful.

Shrink MDF file using TSQL script

Shrinking MDF and NDF file is possible and there is no chance of data loss.

It is not always advisable to shrink those file as those files are usually growing. There are cases when one database is separated in multiple database of any large table is dropped from database MDF and NDF can contain large empty space. This is the time they should be shrank. Shrinking database can be many hours process but it there are very slim chances of data lose.

Following is the script to shrink whole database.

DBCC SHRINKDATABASE (dbName)

Following is the script to shrink single file.

DBCC SHRINKFILE (logicalLogFileName)

To find logicalLogFileName following command has to be ran.

USE dbName
EXEC sp_helpfile

Let us understand this using database AdventureWorks.
